Many of us are in a place of not knowing; it does help to know that we are not alone in that. Connections do matter, perhaps more than ever. We are left principally, it seems, to make a difference in small ways, but those make a difference all the same. I wish you well in your next move, wherever it may take you.

Yes, I agree connections matter more than ever and small ways are sometimes more powerful than we think. Thank you for the good wishes, Peter.

This is great, Dawn! It’s passionate and honest and articulates what a lot of us are feeling right now. And I for one need to do more work on not knowing. I know it’s good not to know! I’m getting there, finally …. a bit late in the day of my life.

I think we have not knowing around the globe right now, Emma, and I love being in your company in these decades of life where we can still "get there" - also all the not knowing in your own story, and perhaps in all our childhood stories in some way, and how that fits into this not knowing space decades later.

The well of 'not knowing' ...on a personal level it is only in recent years and later life that I've become more aware of how strong the pull of knowing is for me. Knowing has been my armour. Although armour is a protective barrier it is also impervious. Sticking with a discomfort that I know, the proverbial stone in my shoe, to avoid the discomfort of stepping away into the 'not known.' I'm struck by your reflection that it is in the 'not knowing' state that we discover the value of connection with others......I'm geographically a long way away from the politically driven chaos and cruelty that your words made me more aware of...maybe we each need to respond in ways we've not tried before...you've got me thinking. Thank you

Thank you, Issy. And having just read your own piece, I am struck by all the not knowing you have gone through to what evolved that is so beautiful.
