I'm quite drawn to this solitary wiper blade askew. Great metaphor for ...so much!

Thanks for writing and sharing this!

Thank you, Melinda. Ah, how much fun it would be to sit over coffee at the deli and have fun chatting about these metaphors that show up! Here's to wiper blades and more!

Don’t buy a new car, Dawn. Just keep noticing those wiper blades. I love the metaphor. I went on a series of great writing workshops with Niamh Mulvey called Present and Noticing. It’s great the way you get the most out of being present and noticing.

Thank you, Emma. When I got home yesterday and raised the trunk door of my car I realized my own rear wiper blade is completely shredded. How funny is that after noticing the one in front of me. I think I'll wait on a "shredded" metaphor! So yes to only a new wiper blade as I love my aging car and the joy it still is.

I often get thrown off when things don’t go as I was hoping they would, so moving forward I will remember the many rich imagery this wiper blade can bring up: something gone wrong or a potential wing to fly with.
